چکیده

New technologies have risen into popularity causing the Liquid membrane techniques to evolve over other separation due its high selectivity and recovery, increased fluxes, reduced investment operating cost. This work focuses on extracting Methylene Blue (MB), a cationic dye using simple BLM technique from aqueous phase. It combines extraction stripping in single unit operation. The feed phase was an solution of MB, solvent chosen soybean oil for liquid/organic phase, tri-octyl amine acted as carrier. strip hydrochloric acid this study. A two-phase equilibrium study done choose correct solvent, carrier, receiving (soybean oil, amine, HCl) were chosen, which then followed by three-phase Effect various parameters like time, pH, stirring speed, carrier concentration, initial concentration all studied find out most optimum working condition maximum recovery MB. removal efficiency MB found 92%, at process conditions transport follows: pH (11), (5), (20 ppm), (7%) (v/v) TOA speed (250 rpm), respectively.

Experimental Study on Performance of Modified Hybrid Liquid Membrane Process for Removal of Cadmium from Wastewater

Liquid membrane processes have attracted many interests in recent years for removal of heavy metals such as cadmium from industrial wastewaters. In this study, a modified hybrid liquid membrane system is introduced. The setup is worked by applying the water-insoluble dioctyl phthalate as the organic solvent. N-octanol and tetra butyl ammonium bromide are added to the organic phase to increase t...
